Review Differences Dialog

The following dialog displays when you load an XLS file into the Cable Type tab of the Options dialog. It syncs the cable types being imported with what's already in the project and recognizes any new, modified or deleted cable types.

Note: This same dialog is also used when you import an equipment map into the ID Manager. The descriptions below apply to all types of results.

The dialog is divided into two sections.

Objects Grid - This section of the dialog will list the cable types in the project, including new Cable Types added when a XML file was imported or existing ones that have been Modified or Removed.

Properties Grid - List the Property values for the selected Object(s) as well as the status of each. Changes can be Accepted, Rejected, or Undecided in which provides options to display/hide the status of the objects using the toolbar option described below:

Setting	Description
Objects list	This section will list cable types that either already exist in the project, or new types which will be added. Objects which exist that have been modified are displayed in blue, new objects in green, and deleted objects in red. Use the icons in the toolbar and described below to control the display of the objects in this list.
Types	Displays the following dialog providing options to filter the display of object types in the Review Differences dialog.
Show Added	Toggles the display of cable type records which were added. These records display in green.
Show Deleted	Toggles the display of cable types records which were deleted. These records display in red.
Show Modified	Toggles the display of cable type records which were modified. These records display in blue.
Show Accepted	Toggles the display of cable type records with a Change value of Accepted. This means you have accepted the change to the record(s).
Show Rejected	Toggles the display of cable type records with a Change value of Rejected.
Show Partial	Toggles the display of objects in the top grid that have both Rejected and Accepted properties from the lower grid. The items will display "Partial" in the Change column.
Show Undecided	Toggles the display of cable type records with a Change value of Undecided.
Select/Clear All	Select All - Enables the check box next to all of the object types. Clear All - Disables the check box next to all of the object types.
Update Status	The Status buttons allow you to apply a status to all of the selected items simultaneously. Once you have enabled the check box next to the different cable types click one of the following status buttons to apply. Accept Reject Undecided The new status of the selected types will be reflected in the Change column.
Properties	The Properties tab lists the project values of the selected cable type in Objects list. New properties are displayed in green, Modified in blue, and deleted properties in red. Note: When multiple objects are selected in the Objects grid, only the properties common to each selected object is displayed in the Properties grid, and the text is displayed in an italic font. The toolbar icons at the top of the Properties section (same as described above) also control the display of these options. Use the function buttons to either Accept, Reject, or remain Undecided on the changes.
Update	Updates the changes made and finishes loading the cable types into the project. The new and modified cable types will display in the Cable Types grid.
Cancel	Closes the Options dialog without saving any changes.
